Treasure Hunt was a British television show in the 1980s, inspired by an idea from France called La Chasse au Trésor. Presenters Kenneth Kendall and (in the later episodes) Wincey Willis were joined by members of the public in the studio, to guide “sky runner” Anneka Rice to find clues and the “treasure” within 45 minutes. I loved the shows as a kid but I’d quite forgotten about them, until someone mentioned it on Twitter earlier.

This afternoon has been spent reminiscing with three shows via YouTube: of the Western Highlands, Pembrokeshire, and–one of the special episodes–the Bernese Oberland of Switzerland. The embedded video above contains a YouTube playlist of all seven parts to the episode, which you can also view directly on YouTube.

Loved them – never managed to work out the cryptic clues though!

The Swiss ones were easy ;) But I didn’t get all of the British ones; not even all of those in Pembrokeshire!
