We found this lake in the Jura mountains, near the border with France, after I judged a national photo competition quite a few years back in which it was featured. Since then, we’ve come to really enjoy visiting, because it reminds us dearly of another very similar lake in the Highlands of Scotland. This time, although it was only the end of November, the lake was already frozen and the walkway was covered in snow and slush.
