Thank you Nick, for suggesting that I revert to my fixed lenses. (I’d become increasingly disappointed by the lack of detail in photographs with the standard Nikon zoom lens.) This was shot from the Niederhorn on Tuesday evening, using a manual focus 135mm telephoto Nikkor, and it’s massively sharper than previous results.
