Faulensee
Faulensee is a small village on the shores of Lake Thun, where I have lived since 2011. The unappealing name originates from the German “stagnant lake” , which refers back to the days when the Lake Thun was lined by smelly reed-beds along this stretch of the shoreline. Thankfully, they were cleared many years ago and the village is now one of the most picturesque lakeside spots between Spiez and Interlaken.
