  • Friends Dan and Lil were recently married in the glorious surroundings of the Giessbach Hotel. I was delighted to be able to take wedding photos for them. Here’s a small selection of my favourites from the day. More details of my wedding photography are over here.

  • I’ve been prompted recently to update my wedding portfolio; in particular since I’ve begun using Flickr as an extension to the image archive for this website. I’ve added three new groups of photos over the last couple of days: from Interlaken in 2011… …from Lindau in summer 2012… …and from Zurich in December 2012.

  • You may recall that I wrote about HDR technique some time ago, and a technique I employed at a wedding last weekend reminded me to write about the alternative: Tone Mapping and Zone System exposure.

  • I gain a lot of pleasure through photographing the most important day of a couple’s life, and have spent a lot of time honing my skills to make sure that my subjects don’t just get a standard set of photos, but a unique visual documentary of the day through special moments.

  • A touching and unusual alternative to the wedding book; guests at a German-Swiss wedding present the couple with flowers and individual written notes of goodwill.

  • Repeated good feedback on my photography and a recent equipment purchase have convinced me to start photographing weddings more regularly.

    Jo and I travelled to Scotland over the weekend to attend the wedding of Jo’s friend Alice to her RAF sweetheart Chris.

  • Starting with a long journey to the Aeolian Islands and pre-wedding drinks on a tempestuously windy hotel terrace, Jo and I had a great time at my oldest friend Brent’s wedding to his Italian sweetheart, Marta.
