Inspiration
I have been inspired to approach a local development company, who have taken over the old Hotel des Alpes in Spiez and will be converting the building to luxury flats. I’ll keep you posted… Update: I meant, to photograph the interior before they strip it out, not buy a flat! :-)

Portree
We arrived in the harbour area of Portree, where our hotel was located on the quayside. To outsiders, the harbour seems small and quaint, but to many islanders on the west coast, it’s the main port through which they connect to the rest of Skye and to mainland Britain.
