The valley at Zermatt is surrounded by nearly three dozen peaks with summits higher than 4,000 metres above sea level. The Breithorn is well-known as the “easiest” to ascend: although easiness is, of course, a matter of reference. The number of tiny, ant-like climbers on the slopes leading from the Breithorn Plateau was quite amazing, when Jo and I visited the nearby Klein Matterhorn cable car station over the weekend. Not least because of the absolutely terrifying glacial overhang, which seems to be all that’s keeping the “crowds” from falling over a vertical mile to the lower glacial slopes.

With the preparation you had this summer it would have been a rather easy hike for you. And a very rewarding one: https://www.flickr.com/photos/habi/tags/breithorn

I think I’d be too scared to go up there, after seeing what I’d be standing on!
