While we were in the U.K. this Christmas, Jo and I travelled down to the south coast of England at short notice to visit family. On our return, we headed back up along the west of England and south western Scotland, stopping off in the small town pictured here as we’d heard so much about it, but never visited.
It’s a typical British town; surrounded by rolling hills, bitterly cold in the current spate of wintry weather and, to all intents and purposes, quiet and peaceful, in the lull shortly before the New Year festivities.
Just hearing the name of the town casts the peaceful town in an entirely new light, however. The town is Lockerbie.
