Red brick, Hampton Court Palace

The passageway which leads alongside the Great Hall at Hampton Court Palace to Henry VIII’s wine cellar. In modern times, the passageway also leads to the palace café, housed in Queen Elizabeth I’s former private kitchen. Something I love to see when I visit England: red brick buildings, where the slightly knackered edges of the bricks show just how old the building is.
