The Last House

On the north west coast of Skye, in Scotland. Jo and I did a two day lap of the island in 2005, and have particularly happy memories of this view, where we stopped for a while and admired the remoteness and "end of the world" feeling.

A close-up detail of this wind pump at Thurne Dyke in Norfolk. Looks crooked, I know, but it’s an optical illusion due to the angled window and cone-shaped structure.

We walked a little way down the road, away from the city, to meet the Love Mobiles approaching. Several of the floats collected dancers from along the earlier stages of the parade route, including this group: cold and shivering in the drizzly rain.

A studio portrait of a friend’s son. I constructed a tent made of white sheets, in which he sat, then I photographed using flash lamps aimed through the sheets to create a high-key, astoundingly detailed series of portraits.
