View across Lake Thun from Chrinden

A pleasant and warm walk last weekend, with forest sections and huge panoramic views across the lake to the mountains.

A pleasant walk with varying sections last weekend, which was a little warmer than we’d expected. We walked from the clinic at Heiligenschwendi along forest trails to the Niesenbänkli viewpoint, then down a very steep meadow and farm track to the road at Chrinden. We took a short diversion up a little hill to viewpoint benches at Chrindenhubel, with views down to the castle at Oberhofen, then walked back up the incessant small road ascent of Mehlbaumen and Schwendi to our starting point. It was a lovely walk, although if we go again, we’ll possibly go during the week when there would be fewer motorbikes on the road through the woods.

Absolutely stunning photos. We’ll have to come and visit some day.

Please do! It’s like shooting fish in a barrel, to be honest. Just turn up and point the camera in any direction!
