Instead of heading to the one of my more regular places for a stroll this lunchtime, I headed for the woods and vineyards near where we used to live. I walked from near the library onto the wooded hill, taking my time to enjoy the peace and the views, as a break from the last day of a fairly intense working week. I reflected on the reminder from Facebook that ten years ago today, we moved from our home in Spiez to where we now live. We used to walk from home through this part of the town, and yet I rarely visit any more, despite the beautiful views. The arrival of autumn, with slightly cooler temperatures and fluffy, foggy clouds wrapping themselves around the mountains, will encourage me to photograph the dying leaves, as I’ve done so often.
