The Lac de La Gruyère first drew my attention a few years ago, when I saw that the Île d’Ogoz was accessible on foot in winter. The island and much depleted lake was one of the first subjects I photographed and filmed after I bought my drone in early spring last year.
By coincidence, we drove through the countryside near the other end of the lake recently, having made an obligatory stop for chocolate at Broc. On seeing that the extensive lake was frozen, we found a place to park up, near the road bridge at Corbières, and took photos and some filmed sequences.
