Unterseen, Switzerland

I used to visit the Bödelibad leisure centre regularly. Before I had a car, I used to catch the train to Interlaken West station and walk from there.

The route takes you along the river Aare, forming the border between Unterseen and Interlaken, leading to a footbridge with this view. In the foreground Unterseen, with its ancient church tower, and in the background, the Niesen and range of mountains leading back to Adelboden and Zweisimmen.

I particularly like this photo because of all the little details: from the red benches on the Unterseen side of the river to the woman reading a book on the Interlaken side.
