Terry Abraham’s wonderful outdoor films

, ,

I feel a slight affinity with Stuart Maconie after watching this extended “trailer”. Although I am often quiet, I, like Stuart, can’t shut up when I get onto the topic of something I love. It’s great to listen to him talking about his knowledge of the northern Lake District.

Terry Abraham is a photographer and film maker, who has been focusing – ho ho! – on the English Lake District recently. The video here is a sequence from an upcoming film about Blencathra: a sequel, if you like, to Terry’s film on Scafell Pike.

Terry’s videos make me want to turn off my computer and head for the British hills immediately: whether to a well-known place like the Lake District or to places which will be new to me.

These are a few more of my favourite films from his YouTube channel.

Scafell Pike

Helvellyn

Cairngorm
