Matthorn, Switzerland

Helicopters are a common sight in Switzerland, in particular when you’re hiking on the higher peaks of the alpine region. Here, a tourist helicopter passes in front of the Matthorn peak, near the summit of Pilatus.

  1. According to my geografical knowledge the Matterhorn is nowhere near mount Pilatus.
    That’s mount Titlis in Engelberg.

    • This is the Matthorn, near Pilatus, not the Matterhorn, in canton Wallis. Thanks for the comment and for pointing out the (formerly untagged) Titlis in the background.
