Over the sky to Skye

…and Mull, and Glencoe, and Cromarty…

I’m exceptionally looking forward to flying to Scotland soon, for a holiday during which Jo and I will get to see the west coast of Scotland and the “Western Isles” again. It’s been getting on for three years since we were last on the west coast, and a full eight years since we were last on Skye. This time, I have a great deal more experience on how to photograph the landscape with a digital camera; my archives from the trip in 2005 contain some lovely photos, but several of them with burned-out skies. I have also learned my lesson and now shoot in RAW format instead of JPG, so that any idiocy on the part of the photographer has a better chance of being rescued.
