Winter season on Lake Thun

I’m glad to hear that after many years of terminating the ship season at the end of October, the BLS ship company has decided to run a daily service on Lake Thun in the early afternoon throughout the winter this year. After assessing factors such as the reliability of the ships in cold weather and the water levels in the lake–simply, ensuring that the unterwater trenches leading to and from the quays are deep enough in winter because of the lower water levels–we’ll now be able to enjoy trips to Interlaken and Thun throughout the year.
