A.A. Box, Glen Dye

Not many of these boxes now remain. Once, they were all locked and each member of the Automobile Association was issued with a key to open the boxes. The box is however now unlocked and open for anyone to use it. With mobile phones now in widespread use, most the boxes which remain are more of historical interest. This one however, as well as being a well known landmark on the Cairn o’ Mount road, is also located in an area where not all mobile phone networks provide a signal. (Source)
