After two and a half years with the Burson-Marsteller Crossmedia team in Bern, I’ve decided to return to my roots as a programmer and technical developer and I’m moving across town to work for web agency !frappant from 1st April 2011.
I’ve know several team members in the web division of parent company Satzart AG for a while; not least Matthias Gutfeldt, who was the first Swiss blogger I got to know back in the early days of Swiss blogging; Manuel Reinhard (a.k.a. Sprain), who I photographed in 2008 and 2009 and who interviewed me in Swiss German for his SprainTV DVD extras section; and Renato Frei and Manuel Glauser with whom we at Burson-Marsteller collaborated in 2008-9 during the production of the new Gene ABC website. I’ve also used the Satzart in-house studio recently for the portraits I completed recently with my friends from the band Choo Choo, and photographed the company anniversary event a little over a year ago.
I’ve enjoyed my time at Burson-Marsteller immensely, particularly working as a member of the talented and experienced Crossmedia team and in collaboration with colleagues from the entire EMEA region. I’m particularly proud of the biggest web project, concluded at the end of 2010, which saw the re-design and re-development of all the European Burson-Marsteller websites. I’m looking forward to getting back into my stride as a full-time programmer, working with my new team colleagues in the Lorraine district of Switzerland’s capital on new and exciting projects… and finding out just why there is an exclamation mark at the start of the company name…
