Winter approaches, Reutigen, Switzerland

When heading into the Bernese Oberland from Bern, the alpine massiv rises up out of a flat plain very abruptly. At Reutigen, not far from where I live, the contrast between plain and mountains is at its most extreme, with a vertical difference of around a mile between the fields and the peak of the Stockhorn. At this time of year, at full moon, the snow-capped mountain-top shines in the night like a beacon.
