The Images Festival of Visual Arts is the only open air photographic festival in Switzerland, which takes place in the picturesque town of Vevey on the shores of Lake Geneva every two years. As well as presenting winning photographers with the Grand Prix of Debut Films and the International Photographic Award, the organization places a number of exhibitions around the town; not just in organized exhibition rooms, but also on building facades and on advertising hoardings.

Jo and I drove over yesterday and spent the afternoon wandering around the town, viewing the various works of art and making some of our own. The exhibition runs until 26th September this year and I can highly recommend visiting if you can. My personal favourites were images exhibited by Bronek Kozka, Li Yu and Liu Bo and Li Wei (an example of Li’s work is the main image in this article).

Hi there, did you happen to take any shots of my work? I’m exhibiting in Pingyao China and could not get to the show.

Hi Bronek: no, sorry! I did like them a lot though!

That’s ok, I’m hoping the organizers has documented them. I was keen to compare the two shows. Interestingly there were some galleries from Switzerland at Pingyao.

    All the best

    Bronek
