We’re only just back from a trip to Italy and it’s time to head off again for a foreign break! This time, Jo and I are heading to the U.K. on Friday for a family gathering in Pembrokeshire, where my parents, my sister and I used to spend summer holidays paddling in rock pools, canoeing, coasteering (in a basic, teenage, pre-health-and-safety way) and watching the tanks testing their guns on the Castlemartin ranges.

Jo and I were in Pembrokeshire in October 2007 after our wedding and again after Christmas last year: this time, we’re hoping for warmer weather and to show the sights to those of our family who haven’t been before. Although it’s only just around the coast from our usual haunts – Freshwater East and West, Pembroke, Tenby and Castlemartin – I’ve never been to Laugharne, so I’m hoping to go there too and soak up any imagery left behind by Dylan Thomas. I’ll probably be sending photos to my Flickr account via email while we’re away, but I’ve added a few of my favourite Pembrokeshire shots to my RedBubble gallery already to give you a feel for the area.
