Castlemartin, Pembrokeshire, Wales

This church stands in the middle of the Castlemartin tank firing ranges. The single-track road out to the church and to the coast at St. Govan’s Head is only open when the tank ranges are closed. These big warning signs advising not to touch anything lying around are placed every few hundred metres and makes the trip out quite interesting! When the ranges are closed because the military are test firing, there’s a viewing point you can go to, where my parents used to take me and my sister when we were young. The little village next to the church is completely ruined now and it must be incredibly tempting for the troops not to blow the church to smithereens!
