Permanent Tourist

The historic Casino Kursaal conference and event centre is one of the must-see stops on a tourist day in Interlaken. The gardens are beautiful and full of bright green lawns and well-tended flowers, with fountains in front of the “Jugendstil” building which must draw hundreds of tourists for a photo opportunity every day. Since 1st May this year, the traditional building has a new neighbour, where once was an open car park: the new large, highly reflective and somewhat incongruous conference centre which has been under construction for the past year or so.
