    Geek stuff, Individual photographs, Technique | 23rd July 2009

    After seeing a few shots around the internet in a certain darkened, de-saturated style – particularly this one of the BBC Top Gear team – I asked around to see if anyone was familiar with the post-processing technique which is used to create it. As it turns out, it’s a fairly simple, customizable process for users of Lightroom and Aperture, set out in simple steps by master photographer and editor Scott Kelby on his blog in 2008. This shot is a quick trial of the technique, used on a photo of a work colleague from last year.
