Walking on the Lake, Oeschinensee, Switzerland
The weather has been glorious today and, though we didn’t get going until a little later in the day, we spent the latter part of the afternoon riding the chair lift from Kandersteg to Oeschinensee, then walking through snowy forests to the side of the lake. It was a long walk along the sledge run, to a large, frozen, snow-covered plain. Tiny, stick-like figures ventured out in the shade of massive cliffs to the centre of where, in summer, Jo and her brother had rowed a small boat on turquoise water.
