This is one of those shots which just seems to work, despite the fact that it came about purely by accident. Well, mabye not by accident, but not in a planned way. It was taken in the bathroom of a conference centre near Zurich at the end of October, when I was shooting the conference for a work client, and was more for a snapshot than any other reason. I have been taking mirror shot photos for quite some time and on seeing this modern and well-lit mirror, I was inspired to take one for the first time in ages. The actual photo you see here was created using a pre-defined setting in Lightroom... one which I hadn't actually intended using! The original was very yellow: tungsten lighting in a yellow-toned bathroom. I love the effect created here, and intend on looking into using it for some other portraits in future.
