Documentary galleries
The “Documentary” galleries contain images I’ve taken as a journalist or reporter, capturing a set of photographs on a specific theme. By setting myself subjects to photograph outside of the regular landscape, portrait or event themes, I try to either tell a story, show an environment or topic as I see it.

My daily routine takes me through the public transport system between the Bernese Oberland and the capital city of Bern and I often visit Zürich for work reasons. I usually take my camera with me and take a chance from time to time to make quick snapshots of everyday life going on around me.

Auto Cemetery, Kaufdorf, Switzerland
Saturday, 5th July 2008 • Documentary galleries • No comments
The Autofriedhof (car cemetery) is an extraordinary collection of rotting cars, dumped by a spare parts salesman on land behind his workshops since the 1930s in Kaufdorf, between Thun and Bern. The cars, in varying stages of decomposition, have remained untouched since they were abandoned in the woods and are now mainly collapsed hulks. The range of cars is fantastic: from Minis and Peugeots to old Chevrolets, Mustangs, Thunderbirds, Rileys and Jaguars from the 1950s and earlier.
Strobist info for the photo of Jo: two radio triggered flashes; a diffused SB-24 at camera right (1/2 power) and a Canon 430ez to the left and behind Jo (1/1 power) to create the highlights on her arm, back and face.
