    Geek stuff

I usually photograph using Nikon D7000 and D80 digital SLRs with a combination of lenses, including the following.

I also use a medium format Mamiya 645 1000S occasionally for creative work, and often take snapshots with my iPhone 3Gs when on the road. The mini-website m.mhm.li is dedicated purely to my mobile phone photography, with regular updates being posted directly from my iPhone. If you’re a member of Tumblr, you can subscribe to updates there.

    Website

The site is hosted in Switzerland by Metanet and if the site has ever been unreachable, it’s been in the middle of the night when no-one has noticed. I can highly recommend the Metanet services because they’re highly reliable, easily customizable, and inexpensive. The site uses a PHP/MySQL backend and the content management system WordPress, for which I have developed a number of unique plugins. The galleries are created using one of these plugins, which reads images directly from folders on the server and uses the Shadowbox Javascript library to display larger images in an in-line viewer. The Links section uses my own PHP-based software solution coll8, which I developed in 2010.
