If you do nothing else online today, click on the “fullscreen” button in the YouTube video player and watch this twenty minute scenic film of some of the most ridiculously beautiful aerial views of Switzerland. The film has been produced by French journalist Yann Arthus-Bertrand in association with Swiss Tourism, and there is an accompanying website containing photography at switzerlandfromabove.com.

From the lakes of Graubünden and the mountains of Wallis, to the rivers of Schauffhausen and Ticino and the massive rock faces of canton Bern, I am energized to get out and see all of those parts of Switzerland which I have yet to photograph in any detail. For example, Ogol Island near Gruyères, the vineyards of Mont Vully and the Trift suspension bridge in the mountains above Gadmen.
